A Greek Orthodox Wedding at Hempstead House

Some wedding days stay with you long after the last song plays — and Katerina and Evangelos’s wedding was one of those days.

From the moment the morning began at Katerina’s family home in Sands Point, it was clear this was going to be something special. There was a calm confidence to the day, paired with deep-rooted tradition and an incredible sense of family. Everything felt intentional, meaningful, and full of life.

Their ceremony took place at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St. Paul, a powerful and beautiful setting that brought centuries of tradition into the heart of the day. The exchanging of rings, the crowning, and the ceremonial walk around the table are moments I always love capturing — not just for how they look, but for what they represent. These are rituals that carry real weight, and you could feel that throughout the ceremony.

After the ceremony, the celebration moved to one of my favorite venues of all time: Hempstead House.

Hempstead House never disappoints. The scale, the architecture, the grounds — it’s cinematic without trying too hard. It gives you space to breathe, to move, and to let moments unfold naturally. It’s a venue that allows weddings to feel grand while still remaining intimate, and Katerina and Evangelos filled it with incredible energy.

A huge thank you goes to Teresa from Above All Events, who once again put together an absolutely flawless wedding day. Teresa has a rare ability to keep everything running smoothly while letting couples fully enjoy their day — and that balance is everything. Working alongside her is always a pleasure.

One of my favorite parts of editing this film was building the dance mix. Blending the traditional Greek energy with a full-on party vibe was a ton of fun, and it perfectly reflected how the night felt in real time. The reception was electric — nonstop movement, joy, and a packed dance floor that never slowed down.

Katerina looked stunning, Evangelos brought the energy, and their families and friends showed up in a big way. This wedding was emotional, joyful, loud, heartfelt, and unforgettable — exactly the kind of day I love capturing.
