Celebrating Amanda & Alexander: A Wedding Day Straight Out of a Movie

Filming Amanda and Alexander’s wedding was an absolute dream. It’s not every day that you get to capture a celebration filled with this much heart, joy, laughter—and sheer movie-worthy beauty. From the moment I arrived, I could feel the energy between these two. The kind of love that makes everyone stop and pay attention. The kind that feels rare. That feels real.

And speaking of movie-worthy—Amanda looked incredible. Her gown by Maggie Sottero was timeless, and it’s no surprise she’s an actress (with cameos in Daredevil and the upcoming new season of Dexter). Her poise, her warmth, her radiance—it all lit up the camera effortlessly.

I also had the honor of working with one of the greatest photographers in the world and someone I genuinely call a friend—Susan Stripling. Her artistry and presence are unmatched, and she captured every moment with precision and grace.

Seasons Catering hosted an unforgettable celebration, and the reception was nothing short of a party. Great food, even better music, and some wild first-person footage I experimented with using a new camera setup—definitely added a fun twist to the final film.

But what stood out most? The vows. Alexander’s words to Amanda were some of the most heartfelt I’ve ever filmed—and Amanda’s return vows matched them with equal emotion. It was raw, honest, and beautiful. A true reminder of why I love doing this.
